How guest access works

   The amenities are private

   The Galena Territory Association says its amenities are not open to the general public: you have to be staying in The Territory and carry an amenity card. Staying here is what gets you in.

   We leave you six amenity cards

   They come with the house for the length of your stay. A card opens the Owners' Club, with its pools, fitness center, game room and snack bar, along with the marina and the trails.

3. 3

   Cars need a parking pass

   The GTA asks for a parking pass on every vehicle left at its common properties, the Owners' Club and the marina among them. Passes come from the GTA's administrative office, or from its security team after hours.

  • Pontoon boats, fishing boats and kayaks to rent at the marina
  • Fishing for bass, walleye, bluegill, catfish, trout and more
  • Bait and tackle shop

• 32 miles of trails

  • Across hills, ravines, ridge tops, woodlands and meadows
  • Open dawn to dusk

• Parks

  • Thunder Bay Falls Park: hiking trails, stream fishing and an observation point
  • North Cove: picnic tables, a pavilion and shoreline fishing

Also at the Owners’ Club: a seasonal snack bar with indoor and outdoor seating, and a business center with free WiFi.

Good to know before you pack

• Bring your own towels to the pools, and an adult must accompany swimmers under 12.
• Lake Galena is for boating and fishing: swimming is not allowed, and guests cannot bring their own boat.
• Fishing needs an Illinois fishing license for anyone 16 or over.
• The outdoor pool, the snack bar and the marina are seasonal.
